Hello @kourge,

I'm very interested on ggit and I'd like to know what's the status of it and your plans in the future for it.
You put a lot of effort in the project and then for some reason you didn't continue.

Do you, by chance, have any roadmap or TODO list of things that need to be polished or reviewed?

A lot of it came down to:

• not having garnered enough contributors to help with it
• the sheer number of implementation details that weren't written into a spec format, with varying degrees of documentation
• loss of personal time
• not having someone with enough interest to foster interesting discussions.

I don't have a roadmap for the moment, but there are a few open issues that I know are defects and / or enhancements. If you want to do anything to ggit, even if it's just adding a roadmap or a todo list, let me know! I can add you as a contributor to this repo.

Go is an excellent way to document and explain how git does things under the hood, and the ggit API is designed to illuminate all the underlying mechanics but still provide ways to abstract over them. Thanks for your interest!

That's sad to hear. I'm really sorry, this project deserves a lot more attention.

I haven't went all the way down the rabbit hole yet but from the quick looks I could take it offers more features and stability than almost any other implementation out there, which is unfortunately both good and bad.

I can't guarantee you a date but I'll do my best to put some effort in here.
