Feature Request

Implement podkit device format to format iPod devices directly.

Description

A full format would erase the iPod filesystem and recreate it from scratch, including repartitioning, creating a fresh filesystem, setting up the iPod directory structure, and initializing a new iTunesDB.

Current Workarounds

• Use iTunes/Finder Restore on macOS
• Manual formatting with Disk Utility or mkfs
