ebusd 26.1: Raspberry Pi 3 B+ (aarch64, 64-bit OS) – cannot open /dev/ttyACM0, TSP signal definitions for Vaillant VRC 620 needed

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to run ebusd 26.1 on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ Rev 1.3 with Raspberry Pi OS 64-bit (aarch64) and a USB EBus adapter to read a Vaillant VRC 620 heating system.

Problem:
No matter if I use the official linux_arm64 binary or the armhf version (even tested via linux32), the device /dev/ttyACM0 is never opened (checked with strace), and there is no error message.
The device definitely exists and root access is possible.

What I tried:

Different releases (26.1 arm64 & armhf)
Running armhf with linux32
Checking device permissions (ls -l /dev/ttyACM0)
Access as root (works)
Explicit path to device
strace: ebusd never tries to open /dev/ttyACM0

Questions:

Is there a known issue or workaround for ebusd on Raspberry Pi 3 B+ with aarch64 (64-bit OS)?
Has anyone succeeded in running the armhf binary reliably under 64-bit OS on Pi 3 B+?
Any tips how to get /dev/ttyACM0 working in this environment?

Additionally:
I’m looking for a main.tsp or working signal definitions for Vaillant VRC 620 (especially flow temp, hot water temp, pump states, ...), because my current config lacks any signal-exports and thus no MQTT values are provided.

System details:

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ Rev 1.3
Raspberry Pi OS 64-bit (aarch64, uname -m = aarch64)
ebusd 26.1 (linux_arm64 and armhf tested)
EBus USB adapter, /dev/ttyACM0
All permissions checked

Issue solved: wrong ebusd package & bus not reachable
Hi,
It turned out I had the wrong ebusd .deb package for my system. After uninstalling and reinstalling with the correct one:
wget https://github.com/john30/ebusd/releases/download/26.1/ebusd-26.1_arm64-trixie.deb sudo dpkg -i ebusd-26.1_arm64-trixie.deb
everything worked. IMPORTANT: In /etc/default/ebusd make sure to set
EBUSD_OPTS="--scanconfig -d ens:/dev/ttyACM0"
(and replace any previous assignment, not just append it). If the device is not correctly configured, ebusd won't find your adapter and no signals will be received! Now I can successfully read all values (e.g. with ebusctl read -c bai FlowTemp). Thanks!
