BerkeleyDB installation error

When I was running Maf2SpanningSeq_PRANK.pl, the system was telling me that BerkeleyDB was missing, but when I was installing BerkeleyDB, the system kept telling me Berkeleydb. xs:76:10: fatal error: db.h: No such file or directory, I don't know what I should do, can you help me?

Pls try to install berkeley DB and the perl API.

download version 5.3.21 from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/products/berkeleydb/downloads/index.html

you need to register there (you can use a "spam" email address)

If that does not work, the perl script also reads a maf file. With -runPrank you would likely have to replace the secureWriteBDB function with a print to a output file that you defined.

We used BerkeleyDB as this avoids having thousands on small files, which is not optimal for parallel file systems.
