The data model for parsing and formatting YML device metadata will be required for building conversion tools for the toolkit, such as #13. Using T4 directly to run the templates is also proving clunky to handle multi-file generation.
Encapsulating all of this directly into the toolkit would solve both problems, and make the setup much easier for both conversion and code generation.
