Question/Request: Apple Silicon support

Dear AlphaFold team,

With the highly favorable state of Apple Silicon in 2026, where the Max and Ultra SoCs have large high bandwidth unified memory and is cost-effective compared to obtaining Nvidia GPUs and servers (memory supply/pricing crisis).
Since both TensorFlow and PyTorch have Metal Performance Shader support, to enable AI training and inference, it would be very helpful to have Mac Apple Silicon support for AlphaFold 3.

I like the idea, I would also like to have support for AMD GPUs. I don't have that much time for this though, so community contributions are very welcome.

Thank you for reviewing and understandable.
I do not have AMD GPUs but only Apple SoCs and Nvidia GPUs.
Will see how far agentic coding can take this :)
