There was this thing that happened a while ago - https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/182272
Looks like fpt and ghec in commit 8c2a804 that behavior is back.
All the ghes-* schemas still have the 204.

However, the API itself still returns a 204 with empty body.

Hello @rahulsom, the documentation now states that there is either a 204 or 200 response code depending on the request parameters provided as you can see here: https://docs.github.com/en/rest/actions/workflows?apiVersion=2022-11-28#create-a-workflow-dispatch-event--status-codes. This is correct and in line with the current, new behavior.

The API will continue to return the 204 with empty body as you say when the return_run_details parameter is not specified as true.
