Thanks for spotting this @tomgue! I've fixed the instructions. The repository is closed-source indeed, mostly because it uses some proprietary modules. I might change that in the future.

I'm getting familiar with Hinode, but sometimes it's difficult to understand certain things.
For example, I don't understand how to insert a link into a card in my page blog/_index.md.

I made a few changes to Hinode to improve the card rendering. They are available in Hinode v2.1.3.

In your example, you should specify href="/index.xml", as this is not a regular page. You can use href for static links. They can be either local or external (such as https://google.com). You can use path="path-to-local-page" to reference an existing Hugo content page (typically Markdown). Cards that reference an existing page use the page's title and description by default, although you can overrule them.

I've added both cases to your example below. I've updated the docs to include these examples too, hopefully it makes more sense now.

You can use Bookshop blocks instead of inline components indeed. In general, Bookshop blocks are always rendered at the top of the page. The regular content is rendered below and may include additional shortcodes. The concept is that visually-oriented pages, such as the homepage or a pricing page, primarily use content blocks. Regular pages, such blog posts, cookie consents, etc., lean more towards shortcodes.

Hinode renders a default articles for all list pages. However, if you configure content blocks for a list page yourself, you'd have to include the default articles block as well. You may want to take a look at the Agency Theme for inspiration. For example, this service page defines several content blocks, including an overview of recent blogs.

Yes, if related to the v2 upgrade incuding docs. Let's use separate comments for each question / issue though, to avoid things getting lost in nested conversations.

For bugs in general, I'd prefer the issue tracker, so I can track them properly.
