Make the dev-kit repositories "pushable" with `ensure-git-clone.sh`

All the repositories that are extracted from the image that are Git repositories should be easily modifiable and one should be able to use Git on them. The script ensure-git-clone.sh has been made for that purpose but it's not used anymore.
