Yes, this is in my to-do. Check #1 as some of the things are being resolved there first.

I think it might be close for fdroid release as well. In following days I will read about fdroid's inclusion policy and the process.
I hope they accept a fork like this.

@licaon-kter You might know this, this project requires me to build the server apk and copy that to app's resources folder which is done first by

cd easycontrolfork
./gradlew -p server assembleRelease
./gradlew -p server copyRelease

then only you can do

./gradlew assembleRelease

how do i instruct f-droid's build process to do that? I suppose it won't do that automatically because that is not metioned or set anywhere?

we are waiting for the fastlane fix to be released in a new version

fastlane is fixed now, so will it be built automatically in next cycle or do i have to create a new release and tag?

Or does the recepie has to be updated to 19b7ea4 commit hash?

It's a reproducible build, so we need a new release, tagged, built APK

@daitj I was ready to include, but... this is Chinese only? If so, please add this info to https://github.com/daitj/Easycontrol/blob/main/fastlane/metadata/android/en-US/full_description.txt so users don't install an app they can't use

or better yet, translate it to English (at least) 😄

@licaon-kter It has support for both English and Chinese. I forked it, removed some forced donation stuff and other some minor things. I do not know any Chinese. For the original author of this project, Chinese was the the main development langauge. That is all.

Did you test this on a non-Chinese, non-English locale device?

eg. set full global language to French and install the app

if device locale it's not Chinese, imho it should default to English

yes there is an in-app selector, but I easily missed it amongst all the unreadable text 😄
