We would like to have Atelier feel like a community of learners. Communication is key in this, but at this point we see students and TAs communicating over separate channels and only using Atelier for sharing code and occasionally commenting on it. It is not clear yet what this means in terms of concrete features in Atelier, and it will likely never be, but here are some ideas:
- Make the site feel more alive:
- Change layout if there is a tutorial going on
- Show who is currently on Atelier
- Have real synchronous chat
- Probably needs some general UI/UX work
