Migrate to typescript

Hello, as you probably figured out, this repo is not really maintained. I have plans for upgrading this to use newer version of CodeMirror, but not sure when this will happen.

Will gladly accept any pull requests including upgrade to TypeScript.

@crutchcorn I was looking into this, it should be next update for this project(major version bump) but unfortunately have no ETA.
