Abstract
As Bun adoption grows, managing runtime versions across projects is quickly becoming a real developer workflow problem. In this talk, I’ll introduce bunenv, a Bun version manager I built to make switching between Bun versions simple, predictable, and team-friendly, drawing on the familiar workflow of tools like nodenv and pyenv.
I’ll share why I created the package, how its file-based version selection works across projects and shells, and why this kind of tooling matters as Bun moves from experimentation into real production use.
