move tests to pytest like bookie

Want to try to keep things consistent for ease of development.

Tried to do this but hitting an import issue. I've ping'd the pytest folks in irc to see if there's any tips

hello all, trying to port over to use pytest from nose and hitting http://paste.ubuntu.com/7247833/ any ideas? Known limitation? 
https://bitbucket.org/hpk42/pytest/issue/58/attributeerror-on-relative-import seems like an old version but solved. This is 2.5.2
