Made for older version of Android

Hi. I'm trying to install on my Pixel 3a running Android 12, as well as my updated LineageOS phone. Both claim that car cast was made for an older version of Android and can't run. Any chance to have this software updated to run on modern hardware? It's the best podcast player and would be a shame for it to become obsolete.

Thanks. Unfortunately I haven't rebuilt carcast from source for several years.... So an update is not likely. Very sorry. Thanks for your praise.

I have been using Carcast PRO for many years, have listened to hundreds of Posdcasts. The main reason I went for this was because it had really BIG buttons on screen and as I ride a motorcycle in the UK, I am usually wearing gloves so it is not easy to hit tiny buttons provided on most players. Just updated my phone and busy transferring application but somewhat disappointed I cannot get this app onto a new phone.
I would have thought it would be easy get it updated???
If not, can somebody tell me what else is a good alternative to using this?
