Currently, the Seamless integration has a default lengthRatio of 0.02. That means unit length gradients will lead to 50 times the size of quads relative to the isometric mapping (this is commonplace so that meshes in the unit diagonal will be covered by many quads). However this is not documented in the tutorial and should be obviously exposed to the user.
