Btw, it would be cool if you could select multiple sources/languages and get them randomly.

QotD = quote of the day; even if you could refresh more often you would still only get a new quote every 24 hours.

The algorithm is set to use a small buffer interval (currently 1.0~1.2x the set time, so it's actually 24-29 hours) so that updates can be scheduled at an optimal time (the exact time is determined by the system). If after 30 hours it still hasn't refreshed, please post your logs:

adb logcat -s "QuoteLock"

Also make sure you're connected to the internet and unmetered only mode is set appropriately, etc. If you're running any task killer apps (e.g. ForceStopGB), make sure to whitelist QuoteLock, since it can interfere with the download service.

Only thing is, I would like it to get a new quote at the start of each new day (aka at 0:00) and not use a timer since the last quote.

My device is Lenovo a7000(5.0).
I have added more than a dozen custom quotes and refresh interval is set at every 1 minute but only one quote is displayed at a time unless I press the refresh icon every now and then. Any idea what might be going wrong?

@dirudira: Developers are often very busy, and can't always respond to issues as quickly as you might like. You'll have to be patient if you want your issue to be fixed.

As a side note, it's better to open a new issue for each problem you're having, rather than commenting on an existing one.

I converted quotelock into system app so that it would not be killed but still it was not helpful

@dirudira Do you have a task killer app installed? Converting it into a system app probably isn't very helpful.

If you could attach your logs, that would be great. Open the app and manually refresh once, let it sit for a few minutes (so it can try to auto-refresh), then connect it to a computer and run adb logcat -s "QuoteLock" in a terminal.
