Privacy Policy for Hand-Controlled Dino Game – Chrome Extension

This Chrome extension (“the Extension”) allows users to play an offline version of the Chrome Dino game using hand gestures detected through their device’s camera. This Privacy Policy explains what information is (and is not) collected by the Extension.

🔍 Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

The Extension operates entirely on your device.
No data ever leaves your computer.

Specifically:

  • No webcam images or video frames are collected.
  • No hand landmarks or gesture data are stored or uploaded.
  • No analytics or tracking tools are used.
  • No logs or diagnostics are transmitted.

🎥 Camera Access

The Extension requests access to the camera solely to perform real-time, on-device hand tracking using MediaPipe.

  • All processing is local.
  • Video frames never leave the user's device.
  • No screenshots or images are ever stored.

Camera access is required only while the Dino game tab is active.

🌐 Network Requests

This Extension does not make any network requests.
All assets, including MediaPipe’s WASM binaries, run locally inside the extension.

👦 Children’s Privacy

This Extension does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

🔒 Security

Because the Extension does not transmit or store data, your privacy is fully protected. Processing is isolated to your browser’s extension environment.

📝 Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the document.
