Inline html templates?

For prod builds it might be worthwhile to inline the templates. gulp has gulp-inline-ng2-template for instance. I'm not sure if it is possible to do the same via a webpack loader.

@jimitndiaye templates are already inlined by webpack. Check out dist/public/browser.js for example. You'll find inlined templates in the bottom of the file (it's not minified, production builds are coming, but not yet supported).
