preview edit and perform edit in webapp

hello, is there any difference between preview edit and perform edit? I have no enough GPU memory to run perform edit and I can only run the preview edit. So I want to know, how much improvements from preivew edit to perform edit? What methods were used to achieve this improvement? Thank you!

Sorry for the late reply (I did not receive notifications before). There is a large difference:
preview edit gives you a quick preview of the edit only, either showing the depth of the edited image (if the depth preview mode is selected), or a textured depth, where the texture comes from projecting the original image into the depth surfaces (if the rgb preview mode is selected).
perform edit is the only option that actually runs DiffusionHandles, making sure shadows, reflections, etc. are updated to match the edit.
