Welcome to the kindle-to-obsidian project! This application helps you seamlessly sync your Kindle highlights and notes to Obsidian. With a simple graphical interface, this tool allows you to export your notes from My Clippings.txt to Markdown format with just one click.

Before downloading, ensure your system meets the following requirements:
- Windows 10 (or later) / MacOS / Linux
- At least 100 MB of free disk space
- .NET Framework (for Windows users) or equivalent libraries for Mac/Linux
- Simple GUI: No complex setup is needed. Just open the app and start exporting.
- One-Click Export: Easily turn your Kindle notes into Markdown format.
- Multi-Platform Support: Works on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
- Automatic File Detection: The app automatically finds
My Clippings.txtin your documents folder. - Error Checking: The application checks for common issues during export.
Follow these simple steps to use the application:
- Download the Application: Visit the download page and select the correct version for your operating system.
- Install the Application:
- Windows: Double-click the
.exefile and follow the instructions. - MacOS: Open the
.dmgfile and drag the application to your Applications folder. - Linux: Extract the files from the
.tar.gzarchive and run the executable.

- Open the Application: Look for the kindle-to-obsidian app in your installed programs or applications and open it.
- Locate Your Clippings: The app will automatically detect your
My Clippings.txtfile. - Export Your Notes: Press the export button to convert your notes to Markdown. Your output will be saved in the same folder as your input file.
After exporting, you can easily manage your Markdown files in your preferred note-taking app. Here are a few tips:
