Describe the bug
When I try to reproduce a video made with the Steam Game Recording feature (it allows you to get clips from the games you have played, akin to Shadowplay), it shows the message "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." It exports as a standard .mp4.
The video is on 21:9 and i think is the culprit of this problem.
An interesting detail is that it works on my phone! (iPhone 16 Pro, using App Store's Chrome) But only the first 30 seconds? Pretty weird.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Make a clip using the Steam Game Recording feature on ultrawide format
- Upload it to Fireshare
- Try to watch the video
- See error
Expected behavior
The video should be showing properly.
Screenshots
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- Browser: Chromium Version 145.0.7632.76 (Official Build) (64-bit)
- PC: Windows 11 Pro 25H2
Additional context
The clips are in ultrawide format (21:9). I've tried to upload a clip of another game I play windowed (16:9) and it works fine! So maybe the resolution format is the culprit? I can provide you samples of clips if you need them.
