You can convert mob spawners from x mob to y mob (i.e from zombie spawner to skeleton spawner) if you have 1 of both by putting the one you want to convert TO first into a network with a network cell which has an open slot. Then, use a network grid to place the other spawners in. They will all merge into the first spawner that was put into the network.
This seems to be an issue with a plugin called "CMI", which one of its features include allowing silk touch to drop spawners. However, if we use a different plugin like SilkSpawners, it doesn't do the above.
