Thank you for reporting this issue! We've confirmed the problem and submitted a fix.

The error message you were seeing has been corrected. When debugging a skill file with invalid content, the error message will now correctly indicate the format problem rather than showing an incorrect format type.

The fix is now under review: CortexLM/cortex-cli#20
