Thank you for reporting this issue! We've confirmed the problem and submitted a fix.

The issue you described has been addressed - when you use the upgrade command with the force option to reinstall your current version, the system will now clearly show that it's performing a reinstall operation rather than a regular upgrade. This way, you'll always know exactly what action was completed.

The fix is now under review here: CortexLM/cortex-cli#92
