cupsICCProfile and remote queues via client.conf

Hello,

I have a question concerning color profiles and remote print queues. I have several print queues on one Debian GNU/Linux machine (server) which are accessed by many other Linux machines (clients) with a Server entry in their /etc/cups/client.conf. This works perfectly, and I can manage all the queues centrally on the server.

With a new photo printer I added a *cupsICCProfile to the PPD of that queue. The profile shows up in colormgr and the application print dialogs on the server. However, the profile does not show up on the clients.

Is there some trick to make remote queues (via /etc/cups/client.conf) use the configured color profile on the server? If not, how do I add a color profile to a remote queue on the clients?

Application color management/preview requires a local queue since the color profiles are registered by the local cupsd.

Thanks for the quick answer, Michael! Though I'm sorry to hear that, I can now stop my research. As a workaround, the color profile can be applied in GIMP. Assigning sRGB afterwards gives the desired result when printing. 👍
