Thanks for the report. I reviewed the archived live streams from the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix together with the runtime behavior in Home Assistant. The integration was receiving live race updates during the session, but tyre compounds were missing at the start of the race not only in the sensor output, but also in the saved live payloads we checked. Later in the same race, valid tyre compounds started to appear without any reload or code change, which points more strongly to a live feed timing or content issue than to a general parsing bug in the integration.

I have added a small observability improvement on our side so the next race will show more clearly whether TyreStintSeries is delayed, empty, or starts carrying compounds late. For now, I think the right approach is to keep this under observation across the next race weekends and compare the live data again. If the same pattern repeats, or if the live stream contains tyre compounds while the sensor still stays empty, we will revisit the integration logic.

I traced this to the integration rather than the Race Lap card

During the China race stream, PitStopSeries was not reliable enough on its own, but the live feed still exposed pit stop totals through the driver timing data. The integration only built sensor.f1_pitstops from detailed pit stop events, so if those events were delayed or missing, the sensor stayed at 0 even though tyre age and the rest of the live data continued to update correctly.

I have implemented a fix that also uses the live driver timing pit stop counts as a fallback. That means the pit stop sensor and the Race Lap card can still show the correct totals even when the detailed pit stop event stream is incomplete. I also added regression tests to cover both the direct pit stop event path and the fallback path.

Just to avoid confusion in this thread: the pit stop fallback note above belongs to a different problem. For the tyre issue itself, the newer analysis points to TimingAppData as the source that needs to drive tyre state in live mode. The beta included changes in that direction. If anyone still sees empty tyre compounds on v4.2.0-beta.1 or newer, please say so, because that would mean there is still a remaining live edge case worth looking at.
