Feature Request: Hybrid Controller with Gas/Steam Turbine

Currently, we cannot run a controller for both the HardCoalSteamTurbine and/or OpenCycleGasTurbine with a wind/solar/battery plant in Hercules. Hycon allows us to run a hybrid wind/solar/battery plant controller with Hercules (using the HybridSupervisoryControllerBaseline or HybridSupervisoryControllerMultiRef). It'd be nice to be able to run a Hybrid controller with other generation controllers.

Example 7 and 8 in Hercules have some example controllers for these models, but these seem to only be able to be run as standalone systems.

Agreed! Do you have an idea of what that controller should look like? Would you like a controller that just takes a reference power for each type of asset (coal, solar, battery, ... ) or should this controller take an overall, plant-wide power reference and decide itself how to split that up between the onsite assets? The former should be easy to set up (essentially, it would pass the main dispatching decision off to the user or a higher-level dispatch optimization). The second is more difficult, because it would require actually thinking through what the control logic should be to manage the different assets :)
