You were the most productive developer for CDL and I definitely took a step back because of that. I want to know if you want to take over the project as I have been incredibly busy with school and life, and frankly just don't have the time to maintain it. It would suck for users to have to switch to an all new package again, which is why I'm asking if you'd like to continue development on the main package.

I can only assume you left because of slow code review and development times on my project page.

If you intend to continue developing CDL the direction it's been going, and would like to have your version be the most visible, reach out and let me know. You are a great developer and have advanced Cyberdrop-DL a long way from where we started, and from when I took over.

Of course, if you don't desire to work on it any more and just want to work on your own project, let me know, that is okay.

This repo for my personal use. I created some scripts in case anyone wants to try it but it doesn’t have its own PyPI package nor do I intent to remain compatible with the upstream repo.

Development on the main repo slowed significantly since data left. Releases when from 1 every few days to maybe 1 every month. I had to keep a local branch with all my pending fixes merged, rebase on every upstream PR merge, and then resolve merge conflicts.

It was a chore, especially when I was working on a fix that depended on another fix that hadn’t been merged yet. I have fixes and several changes planned and working on my own fork was the fastest way to implement them.

I initially was working here alongside the original repo but GitHub kept auto-closing the upstream issues whenever I opened a PR here with a fix for them, so just I left the original repo.

Would you be ok with adding me as an admin on the original repo? I can merge my changes and continue development there.

yes, folks, I truly hope you can figure something out one way or another. Maybe start a new project with both of you as admins instead of something sitting under someone's individual username. I know that opensource development is normally chaotic, and everyone has a finite amount of free time. But having multiple forks here and there really does not help anyone. I greatly appreciate the amount of hard work you contributed in the past few years, and hope both of you can continue working on the same thing!

Yes, that sounds ideal. I apologize for taking such a large step back from development. School has been difficult and life has been busy. I have created an organization and transferred the repository to it. I will continue working to review pull requests but as before, it will be slow.
