<p>On October 14, the Computer Science department at the University of Memphis
will be hosting a <a class="reference external" href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/data-analysis-and-data-science-in-python-workshop-tickets-27360815937?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=escb&utm-source=cp&utm-term=listing">Data Analysis and Data Science in Python Workshop</a>. From
their announcement:</p>
<blockquote>
This 3-day hands-on workshop is designed for scientists and working professionals
who would like to learn programming for basic and intermediate large-scale data
analysis. Participants will learn how to program in Python and how to write short
programs to analyze data.</blockquote>
<p>This workshop promises to start with basical procedural programming in python,
then build knowledge of object-oriented programming and data analysis using Pandas
and Sckikit-learn.</p>
<p>Registration is now open and is $650 for professionals, $280 for students, and
