Feature Request: Allow File Selection by Extension in the Box Selection Screen
Description
I would like to propose adding a feature to Unchained that allows users to select files for download based on their file extensions. This would be particularly useful in the box selection screen, where users could exclude certain file types from the download process.
Rationale
Currently, when downloading files via Real Debrid, including unnecessary files (e.g., non-video files) can cause Real Debrid to compress the entire download into a single archive. This makes it difficult to access and play individual video files directly with a video player, as they are no longer separate.
By enabling extension-based filtering (e.g., selecting only .mp4, .mkv, etc., and excluding .txt, .jpg, or others), users could avoid this compression issue and ensure that video files remain individual and ready for playback.
Suggested Implementation
- Add checkboxes or a dropdown in the box selection interface to filter files by extension.
- Allow users to specify inclusions/exclusions (e.g., include: *.mp4, *.avi; exclude: *.zip, *.rar).
- Optionally, provide presets for common scenarios like "Video Only" or "Exclude Archives."
This would greatly improve usability for media-focused downloads. Thanks for considering this!
