Reactivate a snippet's node after leaving it by Esc, and not reaching the final node

I want to ask if we can reactivate a snippet's node after leaving like this:

• Suppose I am inside a snippet, and I have not reached the final node.
• I press Esc to go to the normal mode

I want to reactivate this node. My current configuration can not reactivate this node, unless I jump to the final node, and jump out of it.

This is my config.

Set keep_roots = true in setup, then call ls.activate_node({ strict = true }) to jump back.

I already did that in my config. But it does not work. I can only jump back if I get out of the snippet by reaching to the last node and get out of it. If I am in the intermediate nodes, press Esc to go to normal mode, I can not jump back.

That sounds correct for what I think you want to achieve @tienlonghungson...
What does :lua =require("luasnip.session").config.keep_roots print for you?
And am I understanding correctly that you want to

• be editing some node X
• leave INSERT via <Esc>
• move around in the buffer, expand other snippets maybe
• come back to the position of node X
• press some key-combination to reactivate the node, so you're back inside that initial snippet you were editing?

:lua =require("luasnip.session").config.keep_roots prints true for me.
And yes, you understand precisely what I want. But my current config cannot do that.
