I have a quesiton, can this be done with Raspberry PI without using 2 units (pico and andrino) ?

Hey Jose,

yes, you can do this with a Raspberry PI as well but need to adapt the code. As you can see in main.cpp, the underlying logic is very simple: You can read the current height of your desk via its LIN bus (see on_uart_rx) and then compare it to a desired height -- toggling the up or down buttons respectively.

However, if you want the actual functionality without having to tinker with it, I highly recommend buying megadesk. I pursued this project out of pure interest but never developed it into a polished product. Megadesk offers more functionality, is much more robust and easier to install.

Thanks for your reply, I've seen few who tried to automate the desk including megadesk, but none of them tend to make the table go online, automate it from app or phone, remind you to stand from pc, etc... which is very intresting to do. You did a nice project, But you may not get a huge intrest i think because there are already tables with built-in memory with several button, and those tables are bulky and sold cheap. What i'm thinking is to integrate the table in pc to react from pc, or automate leveling, or maybe level several tables at the same time.

If you give me tips how to do it with just a pi or radxa zero 3w (Smaller and consume less power) will be greatfull.
I want the original controller to work as well.

Sounds awesome and is certainly doable. My advice is to start simple: Read through the code I've provided here. Understand what's going on and then replicate it on your own hardware. Once you have that, you can add new features one by one. Since the basics are so simple, this is a great project to start tinkering with embedded systems.

I want the original controller to work as well.

The hardware modifications I've made here leave the original controller intact. No worries here. You only have to modify the plastic housing a bit to route a few cables.
