Feature View instead of Image

It would be great if we could use views instead of images.

Each of the menu item is enclosed in a layer with circular border, I felt images the only customization we need for the items.

@yinkou Can you elaborate how would views be more helpful.

I think what yinkou is hinting at is allowing other type of content views. Instead of images, supplying a custom view, or a label, or whatever else. Dunno how much effort that would require, but I think that's the gist.
