Symbology editing

I've recently created a map on Geonode, this is my first time using it. I'm not seeing any options to change the symbology on any of my layers like I'd be able to in QGIS/ArcMap. Also has anyone had any experience using Geostory and could share any examples of some decent story maps they've created?

can u specify better what u actially expect?
Related to the geostories, the two online demo have tons of examples u can see.
