Hi Stuart, Yes, gstaichi is the compiler we are using for our Genesis physics simulations. We are mostly targeting CUDA on linux, but there are a few of us who have Mac laptops (myself included), and we use them in a similar way to you, for dev/prototyping. You can see that we are regularly merging PRs to gstaichi main. GsTaichi will be continuously supported by Genesis AI. To what extent does this response answer your questions and concerns? Hugh |

I've been optimizing a lot of my code with Taichi in the past few weeks only to realize it hasn't been actively maintained in years. It's a shame because it gives me such a speed boost and the Metal support is killer so I can go from local prototyping with incredible speed -> production easily.
Is Genesis using GTaichi/Taichi in the long term and can I reasonably expect then in that case there are a few eyeballs on it from people motivated for the thing to work and at least not decay?
Would love to understand where your heads are at.
