Confirmed.
Installed without issues, even dependencies. Every time FreeCAD starts I get:

I get the same message with the last FreeCAD portable packages on Windows 10 :
During initialization the error «Posthog Python package is not installed : pip install posthog» occured in C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD\Mod\Telemetry.\InitGui.py

This prevents FC from starting.

It absolutely should not stop FreeCAD from starting, so there is something else wrong. I recommend deleting the Telemetry addon and then reporting the start failure on the FreeCAD repo.

You are certainly right :
I tried deleting this folder: C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD\Mod\Telemetry. The message doesn’t appear anymore but FC still won’t start.

Move your entire C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD to a backup location and see if it will start with a clean config. (Closing this bug as outdated -- whatever @rmdug's failure is, it should be a new issue.

This issue is closed, but it seems it was closed due to one of the commenters issue, which isn't the same as the OP's issue.

I'm setting up a brand new MacBook Pro. After installing the Telemetry Add-on I get the following error message each time I start FreeCAD.

21:35:15  Look into the log file for further information

Not sure if this impacting the Telemetry Add-on or not.
