Request interface state causes confusion with users

The combination of "Submitted" status and no reviewers assigned seems to cause confusion on the current required action from the submitters side (reported by thesis submittor)

Suggestion:
rename the submitted state to "in approval" or "in review"
in the reviewers section, if there is no explicit assignment of the reviewer, we should say " curators" instead no reviewers.
