Fix pip install from Anaconda

Installing the environment file from Anaconda did not work for the packages, which were supposed to be installed with pip.

Can you specify what command you used for this? I use

mamba env create -f environment.yml

which also install the pip dependencies (or conda env ... which is equivalent).

I don't know exactly how Anaconda installs the environment from the environment file. I think @chadhat knows more?

It worked on Mac with the command: conda env create -f environment.yml.

It did not work when creating the environment on Windows by importing the environment file in Anaconda navigator. Click on Environments > import environment.yml using button at the bottom of the screen.

iconarray is installed using pip install git+https://..., which requires git to be on the PATH. However, git is not available on windows per default. You could try to install a released iconarray version (as done for mplotutils).

• I am not sure if this is true as we don't have an error message
• you have to manually update the version in the environment.yml file.
