[BUG] - Battery report shows Design Capacity equal to Full Charge Capacity

Description

Bug: In powercfg /batteryreport, Design Capacity is reported as exactly the same value as Full Charge Capacity
After installing Atlas OS v0.5.0, the battery report always shows Design Capacity and Full Charge Capacity as identical numbers (e.g., both 60,568 mWh in my case). This makes the report show 100% health regardless of actual wear, and prevents accurate tracking of battery degradation over time.

Steps to reproduce

1. Know your laptop's original/factory battery Design Capacity, from online source
2. Run: powercfg /batteryreport
3. Open the generated HTML report and check the "Installed batteries" section

Expected behavior

Design Capacity should show the fixed factory/original value (e.g., ~71,000 mWh), while Full Charge Capacity shows the current maximum (equal or lower due to normal wear). They should not be forced to the same number.

Actual behavior

Design Capacity is reported as exactly the same as Full Charge Capacity (both lower than the known original spec), always resulting in 100% reported health.

Atlas Version

Atlas v0.5.0 for Windows 11 24H2

Desktop information

• Processor: Ryzen 5 5600H, 6core, 12 threads
• Ram: 16 GB DDR4
• Storage: 512Gb, sk hynix, nvme gen4 ssd
• Gpu: Nvidia Rtx 3050, v58.83

Since this isn’t reproducible on your end, could other users confirm as well?

Most people don’t check the battery report, so it may go unnoticed. This would help determine whether it’s isolated to my system or not.

Mostly these are related to Windows and how the specific laptop vendor handles this themselves..

AtlasOS does not really do much on this.

Also, it works fine on my end.

If you're seeing 100% health, that is mostly a bad reading or even a faulty battery. Batteries that are older, also tend to be lock back to 100% in some cases. That is a sign that they're "almost dead".

Thanks for the confirmations.

Since other users report normal battery readings, this appears to depend on how the laptop vendor/firmware reports battery data to Windows rather than AtlasOS itself. Closing the issue.
