Option to install packages (like Neovim)

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I am currently taking the Operating Systems class by Professor Sandoval. I was trying to install the Neovim plugin for VSCode via the Anubis IDE but the plugin isn't able to locate the executable for nvim

Describe the solution you'd like
Include neovim as a pre-installed package for the current Debian image OR add an option for users to install their own packages via apt

Describe alternatives you've considered
I am a vim user so alternatives like Emacs or using my arrow keys is not an option :)
